The Dean's Research Council (DRC) is tasked with advancing transdisciplinary research collaborations across the University of Virginia. By fostering cross-unit partnerships and strategic initiatives, the DRC supports UVA’s growth as a nationally recognized research university, further strengthening our reputation through discovery and scholarship. The DRC plays a critical advisory role in overseeing Research Core Facilities, Research Centers, and Institutes, offering guidance and recommendations aligned with the council's mission and goals.
Mission
Through strategic partnerships and resource stewardship, the DRC aims to elevate UVA’s national research profile, increasing research funding to enhance our capabilities and drive innovation, and promote a culture of interdisciplinary discovery that propels our institution to new heights.
